Website/Portfolio layout
For this website it is important to show snippets of each project because there are multiple images per project, the best way to do this is to use thumbnails as it gives the viewer a little teaser of what's on the page. I selected some of my favourite design website that include thumbnail to get ideas about layout. Because the website is based on a pre coded template there isn't much I can change in terms of layout but it is good to know what is out there and what is possible.
I prefer the thumbnails to be a consistent size throughout, it just means that no emphasis is put on any project more than the other. The navigation along the top seems like the best option because it's out of the way and leaves the full width of the page to a grid of images.
